This custom-made prosthesis is fabricated in a dental laboratory, making it an indirect restoration technique in two phases:

During the first appointment, the dentist treats the affected tooth, removes infected tissues, and cleans the area. Then, a 3D optical impression of the affected tooth is taken, which will be used for the fabrication of a dental onlay inlay by the laboratory.

In a subsequent visit, the dentist inserts the prosthesis into the prepared cavity, checks its perfect fit, and securely fixes it to the tooth.
