Invisalign treatment procedure:

Invisalign treatment begins with a consultation with an orthodontist. The orthodontist assesses the position of the patient's teeth and creates a treatment plan using advanced planning software. This treatment plan is used to manufacture the custom-made clear aligners that will be used to move the patient's teeth.

What are Invisalign aligners made of?

Invisalign aligners are made using a transparent and flexible plastic. They are designed to fit comfortably to the patient’s teeth and can be removed for eating and brushing.  The treatment is also less visible than traditional braces such as braces and brackets.  Being able to remove the aligners facilitates the daily maintenance of the teeth and allows patients to eat and drink normally during treatment.

Invisalign treatment involves changing aligners every two weeks or so to keep moving the teeth. The length of treatment varies depending on the complexity of the orthodontic correction required, but in general, it lasts between 6 and 18 months.

During Invisalign treatment, patients can expect to feel pressure on the teeth that indicates that the aligners are working to move the teeth. This pressure is generally well tolerated and decreases over time.
